My beautiful baby girl arrived on March,18,2009 weighing in at 6.7 pounds and 21 inches long. I didn't think she would ever come! I caught the bug that was going around and figured well i give up on her she will come when she comes, I got a blessing from my dad and my uncle Paul, and Tim one night also. So i just kept saying she will come when she comes. i wasn't prepared for her to come since i was not feeling well, me and Nathan finally crawled in to bed to watch some TV when all of a sudden i got a great surprise! Not knowing what had just happened i stood there in shock! I started to panic and with tears in my eyes i looked at Nathan and let him know what was going on, as i was so sick could not stop coughing, with no voice and looked like death worn over me i called my mom and told her, as i got all of my stuff packed thankful to my prepared sister MacKenzie that was always nagging me to get my bags packed, grabbed the bags and went out the door! When i arrived got me hooked up to all the wires and contraptions that kept my heart pounding and butterflies flying. And told me that i was not going home with out a baby in my arms this time. My mom and dad arrived shortly after and kept us company and my mom said as soon as she could see pain in my eyes I'm out of here. Dad being the good dad he was would not let my mom go home, they camped out in the waiting room till they heard her sweet voice! As time got closer i finally asked for my Epidural thinking i was so tough and was going to go with out one quickly changed my mind, as the Doctor who i thought would make my life so easy and would love to this day came in and gave me the shot, as i sat hunched over with fear in my eyes and Nathan talked me through it and was being the great husband he is comforting me my body started to shake as the room started to spin i thought for sure i was going down! When he told me it was all over i sat back down with still alot of pain, and couldn't wait for it to kick in, i sat back down and waited, and then waited some more, when about 20 minuets went by which seemed like days, i called the nurse and said i was still feeling everything, of course knowing my luck just like my shoulder 1 out of 100 this happens to me being the number one of course, the epidural didn't work! As that same doctor came in and said we were going to have to do it all over again i started to cry. As i hunched over again and felt him doing what he was doing and soon it was all over no shakiness no thinking i was going down, i sat back down and soon couldn't feel my toes, Who knows where the other medicine went but who cares now i was feeling good! As Nathan worried about me and walking back and forth checking out every little gadget and gizmo in the room, i told him i was going to try to sleep i was very tired. he turned the lights off and held my hand till i fell asleep, as i woke up i saw my amazing husband talking to his Heavenly Father in the corner of the room, Praying that all goes well. i knew instantly everything was going to be OK. when she decided to come she was here within in a couple minutes. Made it very easy on her mom which was so nice! We ended up staying in the hospital for another two nights no fun at all! As all of our family and friends came to see us and our new Sweet little baby girl. Thank you to all of you! The first couple of nights were very rough on all of us deciding that she was going to be awake from about 1:00 in the morning till 6:00 in the morning. Not crying, not unhappy, just WIDE awake figuring out her new life. No beauty sleep for any of us! Thank goodness for Grandmas! Carri my mom helped out so much! Adjusting to this sweet little thing was not hard at all just fit in perfect to mine and Nathans lives! She is such a beautiful baby! i kept saying i want her here i have no more patience, my dad kept saying she was coming in May, so that i would not get my hopes up, Also he kept saying she still has business to do. As Great Grandma Shirley still needed her little angel with her. When she came out with red hair everyone knew Great Grandma Shirley definitely did take care of her up there, and there was a reason we named her Shirley Saige Eames.
